Poor butterfly remained its wings
I found an odd thing like a pupa made with butterfly wings on the roof of my house.
It might be wings of a swallowtail butterfly.
It was rolled with spider thread.
Its body might be eaten.
How long was it on there..?

Chrysalises and imago of ladybug
In a warm day in winter,
I found chrysalises on a tree.
This was white-orange one.
Was it immediately after casting off?
Accumulated temperature was enough to move for this ladybug?

I found a baby of Ringed grass snake.
He sat on fallen leaves.
Searching situation around him with his tongue.
I caught him and put him on my hand and he began walking.

Jellyfish like mushrooms stand on green
After hard rain, jellyfish like mushrooms stood on green in my garden.
The distance of pileus was about 3cm and height was 2~3 cm.
Near it, the same species mushroom had grown up to be 5cm of diameter.
It seemed a swimming jellyfish

I found a white moth had finished emerging from vinyl tape.

Frozen arts that we can see in early morning
Frost on weeds.
We can see these till about 8:00.
We haven't snow in this month but temperature in early morning gets nearly -4

C every day.
This cold condition allows us to enjoy those arts.

A caterpillar cleaned by washing machine
On my way to home, this poor caterpillar got on my shirt and washed by my washing machine.
Of course, he died but his body wouldn't leave from the shirt.
He might resist desperately.
Green devil on a morning glory reaf
I found a venomous green caterpillar.
I thought it might be a species of hawk moth.
Although it has very poisonous color & design because it had a horn on his hip.
Kakitagawa spring
This is one of the start of Kakitagawa river.
From some springs like this, huge amount of water which comes from Mt. Fuji is supplied.
This is a start spring of Kakitagawa river, too.
Some decades ago, the clear & beautiful river was polluted with some chemical substance by a factory.
Effort of a citizen's group removed the problem & pollution which the river had.

Big Spider Became a ball to protect itself
On a Sunday, a big spider was climbing on my climbing board.
Its form was a savage hunter.
Though, the hunter started running away when it found me.
Protective color worked well on soil but once a escapes was found out, its became unuseful.
Finally, it became a ball.
This was like a inside of barnacle.
Both of them belong to arthropoda.

Slime mold (fan-shaped jelly fungus)
These odd shaped mushroom stood on a old board.
They're a species of slime mold and called "Fan-shaped jelly fungus."
The surface of them is very smooth and so beautiful.
In China, this slime mold is for edible.

Bush cricket
This isn't a life-size model.
It is a living bush cricket.
It didn't move and it seemed to be made of vinyl.
